How much does a personal eVTOL cost?
Posted prices run from $79,000 to about $400,000. The low end is the base price of a one-seat ultralight. The high end is a two-seat aircraft that isn’t in production yet. We checked every price on October 12, 2026.

What it costs to get in line
Most makers take a deposit now and deliver later. The terms differ a lot.

What the price leaves out
- Taxes. Jetson’s $148,000 excludes them (Jetson order page (opens in new tab)).
- Shipping, taxes, and customs duties on the S-Zero, which Skyronyx sells from Miami (Skyronyx home page (opens in new tab)).
- Training. Pivotal ties its deposit refund to your scheduled training date (Pivotal order page (opens in new tab)).
Do you need a pilot license?
Not for an ultralight. Under the FAA’s Part 103, an ultralight needs no pilot certificate. It also can’t fly over congested areas, and it must stay clear of most airports unless air traffic control allows it (14 CFR Part 103, Ultralight Vehicles (eCFR) (opens in new tab)). Pivotal and Skyronyx say their aircraft fly under Part 103, and Jetson says the ONE needs no pilot’s license in the U.S. Details and sources are on each listing.
